The Source of July (as quoted by Brooklyn)

We had one of the best 4th of Julys in a long time! The day started out with a delicious breakfast and playtime at home. Then Caitlin had a lunch BBQ that was delicious. Brooklyn enjoyed her first sparkler. Then we went home and napped, went to Mike and Jenn's house for another BBQ, games, and drinks! From there we walked to City Park and watched the fireworks. Brooklyn was so excited and stayed up till 10:45 that night.Oops, got a little too close to the eyes.
Mommy and me.
Still going strong at 9 pm waiting to walk to City Park for the fireworks.

B ate about 1 gallon of ice cubes from the alcohol bin. Josh and Mike playing the bean bag toss--a replacement for the usual beer pong.
Curled up on the grass watching the "sireworks, Yay, sireworks!"

Summer Fun

Brooklyn loves her little hippo pool from Grandma Cheri. It has a sprinkler too.Camping in the backyard again. I didn't want to travel until I knew I could make it through the night okay. Between my car accident injury and the preggo state, I gave up around one o'clock and crawled into my comfy bed.
Mr. Potato head is boring when you and Puppy can wear the glasses.

Lounging on her new Dora couch. Thanks Auntie Em!

Lincon, NE and Lake Okoboji

At the beginning of June, we had a family gathering at Lake Okoboji. The three of us spent one day with Kim's family in Lincoln. Bo and B went to the children's zoo...it's one of my favorite zoos for little kids.Brooklyn fell in love with this baby goat. I think the love was reciprocated!
Checking out the indoor exhibits.
Inside the butterfly pavilion--Brooklyn didn't like it when one butterfly wouldn't get off her shirt. Shouldn't have worn bright red.
Dinosaur dig. Bo made a big mound and hid a few bones.

We had a blast in Lake Okoboji--thanks Kimber for organizing all of it. One day we went mini golfing and to a great art museum.Nick, Cody, and Grandma getting ready to start.
Grams almost got a hole in one.
Quick golfing detour to chase a duck.
Playing on the tractors and bikes' race track.

We also spent an afternoon at an amusement park. My monkey found her siblings...monkey hear no evil and monkey speak no evil!Loves, loves, loves the carousel.
Wanted to go on the Ferris wheel with the big boys.
In the crazy tilted wood house.
Grandpa and Nick on the log ride.

The legs I wish I always had.Same for Grandma.
Grandpa made Cody ride the wooden rollercoaster about 12 times. I think he was a little sick.

Waiting for the rollercoaster.
Cody rocked at Skee ball. He won Brooklyn a little stuffed horse she named CoCo (after him).

We ate DELICIOUS fish at the Warf restaurant. The parents celebrated 45 years of marriage. Yay!
At the lake...didn't ever get in though. It was cold and rainy most of the time.
Bo is expecting too!
Paddleboating was fun except my big tummy got in the way.

Bubble Time

Evan came over for a playdate. They chased bubbles for hours!
