So excited for the festivites to begin. We went to church and then hit a town park that had some fun activities for the kids. Then we had the Wemmerus family over for dinner before heading downtown to see the fireworks.

We even took a trolley ride in Old Town. When B gets scared she does this new thing of covering her ears. I guess I like that better than four dirty fingers in her mouth.

First Self-Portrait!
So after much crying and being scared of the drunk college guys, we could not get her out of the car. We had to watch the fireworks from inside the car instead of the lawn at City Park. She covered her ears and WOULD NOT LOOK...NOT EVEN OPEN HER EYES to see the fireworks. Oh well, maybe next year. On the way home she fell asleep with her sippy cup over her ears!
Both kids crashed hard--it was 11 pm I think.
