Brooklyn's Actual Birthday Day....

So we had birthday candles in her french toast, movies in the morning as usual. Then presents after lunch, and after dinner daddy and the kids had movie night with her NEW Tinkerbell movie. (I snuck out for a baby shower....) Now she says she is a real four and not a "pretend four".
This one got her REALLY excited.
My little girl requested an ankle bracelet for her birthday. We went to Claire's and picked out one with ladybugs. Ladybugs are her and Tyler's fave bug...they sat and played with one for 30 minutes the other day. Both passing it back and forth so gentle. Unfortunately, I cannot say the ladybug survived...I went to the bathroom and came back to find him "lost" in the elefun game's motor....tragic ending for the poor bug.

Ty is my sweet tooth. Loving the frosting.

Wait guys, there's MORE FROSTING on my SHIRT!!

Ty's New Bed and our Flower Beds

Ty moved into Brooklyn's room last week. They had quite a few late nights in a row, so the transition isn't quite as smooth as we hoped. But I think things will settle down in a few days. Ty got freaked out the other night when B left for the bathroom and shut the door in his face. He did not like being "trapped" in the room by himself. The room was repainted green with a blue stripe.
Our front flower beds were overcome with weeds. We finally just broke down and hired our neighbor landscaper to fix the problem. He thinned out the plants and added mulch. Looks amazing now.

More Fun Days in MAY

Watching TV on the beanbag. When B sits up, Ty sits up. When she lays, he lays. He copies her every move. It's so cute. We had a pool party at a heated pool!! It was so nice. Loving his new suit and rashguard. B was with her preschool friends.
Huge new bubble machine for her birthday from the neighbor boy.

Check out all the suds.....

New WINDOW markers...a big hit with both kids. Just waiting now for Ty to go crazy all over the walls, but so far everything has stayed on the windows.

A peanut butter apple snack... B got a geode (spelling?) rock from Nana. We had fun breaking it open and seeing the crystals inside.

Great night with Rick and Malina...

Josh and the kids put in the garden this Tuesday. It was really late this year because of all our other projects. But both of them did a great job digging holes for the plants.
It really is starting to feel like summer. FINALLY...a break from rain.

B's 4th Birthday Party!!

Such a cutie. Brooklyn wanted a Dinosaur Train party, so I made a buttercream transfer of Buddy and Tiny. We had her party at Jumpin' - a place that has blow up slides, obstacle courses, and bouncy houses. I used Glitter gel this year...it DID NOT WORK! So I had to leave the wax paper on the top of the drawing until we ate the cake. Then it was just a blob of frosting- but tasted good!
The party table All the kids had bright red cheeks from running so hard.
Ty was Mr. Independent. We couldn't help him on anything....he was non-stop go go go.
Ia, B, and Ashley.

Snack break for a few of the kids.
Quick rest in between jumping and the slides.

Brooklyn got shy when everyone sang Happy Birthday. Couldn't even blow out the candle.
So Ty blew out the candle for her! She got lots of great presents.

And by the end, Ty collapsed on Josh. He slept like a rock.

Last Day of Preschool

Brooklyn was so sad for her last day of preschool. She really loved going and LOVED Mrs. Coerber. She learned so much and had I liked all her new friends and stories she would tell. This is Mrs. Q. the teacher aide. She will be with B next year too!

May Days....

We had a fun playdate with Shannon and her kids. Milo was the first "real" baby in the stroller. Now Tyler climbs in there and yells, "Uck, Uck"...because he can't get "unstuck". I spent a couple days in Denver with my college roomie, Naomi. She invited me to a Royal Tea Party...to watch the Royal Wedding. We all had fun hats on and yummy scones and tea.
My favorite picture of these two!! Grandma came in for the weekend so we could tackle the garage and finishing touches on the basement. We got SO MUCH DONE!! And some shopping too!

Ty is always so snuggly with Grandma.

A new fire engine truck from Grandma to match his firetruck p.j.s.

He is REALLY into pictures on his clothes now. Notice the big scab on his forehead. Daddy was watching him and Cold Stone and he fell over on a patio chair.

Last weekend, we went to Denver for a day. Rick was graduating from Seminary and we went down early to Confluence Park by the river, REI, and to his big party. We had the best day and Brooklyn said it was the best morning of her whole life.

These family of geese went swimming right by us and we watched them for at least 15 minutes. Ty kept running around saying, "Wowww" at the top of his lungs.

Brooklyn is occasionally eating ICE CREAM now!!!!

Grandma Cheri Papa Jimmy and the Farm...

Papa Jimmy and Grandma Cheri came out on seperate trips this past month to help with the kids and projects! I was able to get lots of doctors appointments in and it was nice being spoiled by them! We didn't take pics though....but here is a few:Brooklyn's class went on a field trip to the Farm. Notice her and Danny are the only feet that can't touch the wagon- they are the youngest in the class!
Checking out the animals!

Good Friends!

A girl's date with Grandma Cheri-- a sculpture park and ice cream!
